The Aroma of Christ

Have you ever entered a room, church, or Christian meeting place and discerned a faint aroma similar to flowers? Or, perhaps it geddes-rd-wa-651864_640smells as it does when you’ve just stepped off the plane after landing in Hawaii or some other tropical island? A freshness and sense of expectancy fills the air around here as we are anxious to launch this website. Much prayer, thought, and organization went into planning and implementing this endeavor, and we express confidence Christ controls this venture.

Welcome to, a website dedicated to encouraging and inspiring women toward a fuller relationship with Jesus Christ by illuminating God’s Word through timely devotions and occasional blog posts. Our goal is to share the power of Christ crucified to impact and change women’s lives.

2 Corinthians 2:14-15 (NIV) states, “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.”  Scripture tells us this awareness and comprehension of Christ we seek by reading, studying, and applying the Word becomes a fragrance. In early Roman times during a triumphal procession after a military success, the people burned incense throughout the streets, creating a sweet fragrance of victory.  God calls you and me to a closeness with Him which we can achieve through the study of His Word.  In turn, this leads to our witness for Christ developing into a pleasing aroma which others will notice and can lead them, too, into a relationship with Him.  Thank you for joining us as we pursue becoming part of the aroma of Christ.

Father God, I’m excited about learning more about You through these devotions. Please enable, encourage, and empower me through the study of your Word. Help others to notice the aroma of Christ in my life so that I may make a difference in their lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
